3. Believe that Jesus took your punishment for sin by dying on the cross, then rose from the dead.
Romans 5:8-9
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
4. Repent (be willing to turn away from your sins).
Acts 17:30
And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
5. Tell God you believe these things and ask God to forgive you and save you from the penalty of your sins.
Romans 10:9-10
